Nail Bar

Sparkly black tips.
What you need:
Masking tape.
Black nail varnish.
Clear sparkly nail varnish.
Clear top coat nail varnish. ( I used all Barry M)

Use the masking tape across each nail to create a straight edge. Paint the black onto the end of your nails. Wait for it to dry then use the sparkly on top. Again wait for both layers to dry before removing the masking tape. Finally coat nails all over with a clear nail varnish, this will make your nails more durable and also give a glossy shine.
Easy to do and looks great!

DIY Dress

Just a wee photo of my hand made dress. Its made with floral, navy fabric. So easy to do! Use a similar shaped dress as a template. Cut out two halves then with the fabric inside out sew the sides seems together using a sewing machine- or a needle and thread if you are confident enough or don't have a machine. The jersey fabric works well as it is stretchy which meant that I didn't have to make a zip etc, but if you do use a different fabric then keep in mind how you will get it on and off!

Jubilee Chocolate Cake

What you'll need:
*Round cake tin
*Wooden poon
*Glass bowl and other bowl

What goes in it:
Cake

Start by making the icing. Place the glass bowl over a pot of simmering water and add to it the chocolate. When the chocolate has melted add the butter and icing sugar and mix well until fully combined. Take off the heat and add the water.

Pre-heat the oven to 180`C. Place the butter and sugar in a bowl and beat together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs gradually then stir in the syrup. In a separate bowl sift the flour coco powder and salt then add this to the mixture and combine. Bowler Hat

I've fancied a wee bowler hat for quite some time but unfortunately have had some trouble finding one that fits due to my head being the size of a four year old child. I searched all the high street shops with no success. So I brought my search to the internet and finally found a tiny sized hat after typing in 'child's fancy dress bowler hat' in Ebay.

New

After working some overtime at work I earned myself £50 Topshop vouchers. So yesterday I dragged my boyfriend around Topshop in a bit to spend my well earned cash. I purchased these high waisted shorts for £28, they're a really nice lilac and actually cover my bum, which is something I have found Topshop shorts have not done in the past. They have loads of different patterns and colours in right now, so check it out! There was also a sale on and that's where I found this pink sparkly top for only £12, bargain yey.

Trend Report- Hawaiian Bomber Jacket

I often find that Primark can be a little hit or miss and yesterday I certainly found a hit. This Hawaiian style bomber jacket is practically identical to the ones found in Topshop, River Island and even on the cat walk. I had to have it! Here I've paired it with a clashing print shirt, chainmail necklace and black skinnies.

I love that the bomber is back. I think it's one of those timless pieces that will always come and go. This season has re-invented the classic jacket with fun tropical prints. Celebs such as Lana Del Rey have definitely embraced the trend with her ghetto chic look.

The MA-1 bomber jacket was developed in the late 1950's. This was the first bomber jacket which was made out of nylon and resembles the jackets we now know today. They were used for Air Force and Navy pilots in the US. So these jackets are not only stylish but played a large role in our history.

DIY Shoe-over

Here's a quick and easy way to give your shoes a glam makeover.

These are the shoes I have decided to customise

  You will need:
Fabric Glue, a mat or tray
Glitter (any glitter any colour) and paint-brush.

Apply the fabric glue to the area you have selected to customise (for me, the heal). Use the paintbrush to spread the glue evenly- you can chose a design and get creative with this part. Finally apply the glitter- this is where the mat or tray comes in handy as it can get pretty messy. Pour it all over the area covering everything, it doesnt have to be neat. Let it sit for a few minutes then tap you shoe on a hard surface so that the excess glitter falls off.

And voila..
